Support for Disabilities and Health Conditions
We support students with disabilities, learning difficulties and long-term health conditions, including assistance with Disabled Students Allowance for eligible students. Our team works closely with academic and professional services staff, as well as local external agencies, to ensure an inclusive campus.
Disability Advice
Our Student Health and Wellbeing team offers support from application to graduation for students with:
- Specific Learning Difficulties (e.g., Dyslexia)
- Physical and Sensory Disabilities
- Asperger's (Autistic Spectrum)
We provide information and guidance via email before you complete your application to ensure support is in place when you start your course. If you have a disability, learning difficulty, or medical condition that could affect your performance in assessments, please make an appointment with our team. Based on the evidence provided, reasonable adjustments may be offered.
Confidentiality and Disclosure
You are not obligated to disclose your disability to the College, but doing so allows us to arrange appropriate support. We will not disclose any personal or sensitive information without your consent, in accordance with GDPR. To ensure your support needs are met, some information may be shared with relevant College staff. If you choose not to disclose your disability, it may limit the adjustments we can make.
